Production of greenhouse vegetables in Russia grew 18,8%
As on 13 August a total of 646,2k tonnes of vegetables were produced in Russia.
The media service of Russian ministry of agriculture informs that the production of greenhouse vegetables in Russia grew 18,8% and amounted to 646,2k tonnes. Last year there were 543,6k tonnes of vegetables harvested.
The production of cucumbers grew 11,4%. The output reached 422,7k tonnes if compared to 379,3k tonnes produced last year. Tomatoes – 213,2 k tonnes (36,9% growth if compared to the same period last year). Other vegetables – 10,3k tonnes (19,7%).
